While at FOX8, Alex covered big stories, including Hurricane Matthew’s impact on the coast, wildfires in Gatlinburg Tennessee, and state politics in the North Carolina legislature from a controversial bathroom bill and elections in Raleigh.
He landed his first job as a TV reporter in Burlington, Vermont for WFFF/WVNY. There he covered major stories from the New York prison break, where two convicted killers broke out of the Empire State’s largest maximum security prison, to Senator Bernie Sanders’s presidential run in 2016. He was also the station’s statehouse reporter in Montpelier.
