In 2014, he began creating a capsule collection for Versus Versace. He first began as a consultant then moved to creative director in 2015.

Vaccarello was appointed the new creative director of Saint Laurent Paris in April 2016. He works alongside his husband Arnaud Michaux in the Yves Saint Laurent atelier. His other label is Sua Maesta. In July 2011, Vaccarello won the prestigious ANDAM Fashion Award together with a €200,000 endowment.
