During his time at UT, he worked at KTSB Radio and had an internship at KXAN-TV. In 1994, he started his first paid media job as a weekend sports anchor at KAMR-TV in Amarillo, ultimately becoming the sports director.
Dennis volunteered with the Children’s Miracle Network and Meals on Wheels in Amarillo, assisted in the construction of homes for the poor, and was awarded a “Difference Maker” award for community service in the Panhandle.
