In the 1990s, Faulkner became the lead singer of the new version of Bay City Rollers. The band featured Alan Longmuir, Stuart Wood, and singer Karen Prosser. In addition, Faulkner performed with his own band The Eric Faulkner Co-operative. In 2006, Faulkner performed at the Guilfest with 3 Men & Black. He continued to perform with the group on their 2006 concert tour.

Faulkner went on to perform as a solo artist. He appeared at the Glastonbury Festival in support of British politician Tony Benn. His solo festival performances include The Acoustic Festival of Britain, Parkfest, and The Edinburgh Guitar and Music Festival. He also performed most of the old favorite Roller songs under the name Eric Faulkner’s Bay City Rollers.
