Nicole Boone WBTW  – Career

Her work with WBTW has given her the opportunity to interview and meet people from all walks of life, including celebrities such as Gloria Gaynor, Darius Rucker and other members of Hootie and the Blowfish, Harlem Globetrotters, various Nascar drivers, Tom Cruise, and pro golfer Dustin Johnson, to name a few. Nicole’s adventures took her to the world of sword swallowing during the Carolina Country Music Fest, where she pulled the sword from the mouth of a famous sword swallower.

A trip to California was one of her most memorable assignments. She went to Los Angeles for a special series of reports on the stars of CBS Daytime soaps The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. She even appeared as an extra on The Young and the Restless during that trip.

Nickie is committed to giving back to her community. She makes time in her hectic schedule to speak to school, civic, and church groups. She enjoys volunteering for the Grand Strand Miracle League, the American Red Cross, and other organizations. In December 2016, she appeared as the Local Celebrity/Community Hero “Mother Ginger” character in the Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre’s 2016 Nutcracker production. She emceed the Miss Darlington and Miss Darlington Teen Scholarship Pageants in May 2017.

The Morning News has named her Best TV Personality on numerous occasions. The Leadership class of 1995-96 named her Outstanding Participant of the Year. The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce runs the Leadership Florence program. In 1998, she received the “Best TV News Anchor” award from Five O’clock Friday magazine’s Reader’s Poll Awards.
