Berry was named “Washingtonian of the Year” by Washingtonian Magazine in 1991. Berry received the Capital Region Emmy Award for Outstanding News Anchor in 1993, and in 1994, he was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ “Silver Circle” in recognition of his 25 years of service to Washington television.
Berry is involved in the community and is a member of several civic, charitable, and professional organizations. He is a member of Ford’s Theatre’s Board of Trustees, as well as several other boards of directors, including The Neediest Kids, Inc., The Washington Jesuit Academy, and the Paul Berry Academic Scholarship Foundation, which provides private school education to 50 academically deserving minority high school students.
