Richard began his broadcasting career with KWES-TV in Midland, Texas, in November of 1994. From general assignment news reporter to weekend sports anchor, he worked his way up. Richard went to El Paso in 1997, where he worked as a weekend sports anchor for KDBC-TV. He was promoted to sports director and remained in El Paso for more than five years until transferring to FOX 10 in April 2003.
Richard is involved in a number of charitable organizations in Arizona, including the Walter Cronkite School’s Mentorship program and The Society of Saint Vincent De Paul’s Champions for the Homeless. Richard has received numerous Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards, including Best Sports Feature and Best Sports Reporter.
